What I do
- Pickup at the patient's home (door-to-door)
- Check in at the surgery center as the registered responsible adult
- Stay on-site through the entire procedure, however long it runs
- Receive discharge instructions directly from the nursing staff
- Pharmacy stop on the way home if there's a prescription
- Walk the patient inside their home and confirm they're settled
What I don't do
- Provide any medical care or advice
- Administer or dispense medications
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, or vital-sign monitoring
- Continue care past the day of the procedure
- Override or interpret the nursing staff's discharge instructions
- Replace overnight or longer-term home health services

How a referral works
Patient contacts Kavia directly
They submit their details online — nothing goes through your front desk. The agreement goes out to them immediately, and I call the same day to confirm the procedure, facility, and anything they're unsure about.
Peter calls your facility
Before every procedure, Peter calls to verify check-in policy and discharge requirements. Your staff knows who's coming and what to expect.
Day-of coverage
Pickup, check-in as registered responsible adult, full wait, discharge instructions received from nursing staff, pharmacy, home.
Same day requests accepted based on availability.
Kavia contracts directly with the patient, not with the facility.
Itemized receipt provided for HSA/FSA claims. Eligibility is the plan administrator’s decision.
