What I do
- Pickup at the patient's home (door-to-door)
- Check in at the surgery center as the registered responsible adult
- Stay on-site through the entire procedure, however long it runs
- Receive discharge instructions directly from the nursing staff
- Pharmacy stop on the way home if there's a prescription
- Walk the patient inside their home and confirm they're settled
What I don't do
- Provide any medical care or clinical advice
- Administer or dispense medications
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, or vital-sign monitoring
- Continue care past the day of the procedure
- Override or interpret the nursing staff's discharge instructions
- Replace overnight or longer-term home health services

They book online — nothing goes through your front desk. I review their details and confirm the procedure, facility, and service tier same day.
Peter calls your facility
Before every procedure, Peter calls to verify check-in policy and discharge requirements. Your staff knows who's coming and what to expect.
Day-of coverage
Pickup, check-in as registered responsible adult, full wait, discharge instructions received from nursing staff, pharmacy, home.
Same day requests accepted based on availability.
Referrals carry no liability for facilities — Kavia contracts with the patient.
HSA/FSA eligible for most patients. Receipt and Letter of Medical Necessity on request.
